Question: What can a Lawful Canada Resident do to help a family member or friend apply to visit Canada?

Answer: Anyone who wants to visit Canada has to initially apply from outside the country through the Canadian visa office. You, being a Legal Canadian resident may provide your family member or friend a letter of invitation in support of their application. The letter should explain how you will help the person. For example, you may offer to pay for plane tickets or accommodation. A letter of invitation from the sponsor can help, but this does not mean that you will surely get Visa. Along with the Letter you have to submit your employment, Tax and other financial documents in order to prove that you are able to support the applicant you wish to sponsor.
